Hi, my name is Jim and my business is Crafty Crafts by Jim. I have been a crafter for a number of years starting with wood-working crafts, then candle making. I had some luck selling my wood and candle art at vendor events but wanted to expand my product line to be more profitable.  I started looking into other crafting ideas and began working on wood and wine bottle terrariums.  My wood-working history sure came in handy there!

I first started with Christmas items, mounting small ornaments and the glass wine bottle to a wooden base.  Then, I found cork lights for the top of the bottles.  The best part is that these corks can be removed and recharged using a USB port.  Adding this unique light feature to my wine bottle terrariums was a success!

Last year, at Peddlers Village, my wife and I walked into a store that sold succulents and air plants.  My wife had the ingenious idea of combining these popular, low maintenance plants with my wine bottle crafts.  I have since added them to my product line and have expanded on them by creating beer bottle crafts too.  My biggest challenge is cutting through the glass bottles but with the proper tools it can be done!

It is hard to decide which is my favorite item to make,  but I would say the beer mobiles with decals or the fairy gardens with lights and gnomes.  As far as best sellers go, it all depends on the event.  I find that my light-up wine bottle terrariums are most popular around Christmas, and my air plants are most popular in the spring and summer.

My major goal is to sell my items in a store of handmade goods, and this was once a near reality after connecting with other vendors at an in-person event.  The store was to be located in Washington, NJ, but relocated to Kansas.  Since shipping glass is unreliable, I have decided to put that dream on hold until a more local option becomes available to me.

As far as Marketspace Vendor Events, I like where the events are being held - at breweries, how bad can that be?! I am looking forward to a long lasting relationship with them as they have events throughout the year.

My father is an amazing painter, and I was lucky to grow up in a home where art and creativity are valued. I don’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t making something.  I love experimenting with color, line, shape, and texture. I’m drawn to round shapes and intricate repetitive patterns.

My artwork is fun and bright, and it always cheers me up on a dreary, stressful day. I believe my best work is created when I am feeling happy and inspired - it is important to share those positive feelings, especially with so many ugly things happening in the world today.

I find that nature or things that are calm and beautiful like dream catchers are my greatest source of inspiration.   My media ranges from pencil to marker to paint pebbles to burlap and embroidery thread.  I like to mix it up to keep things interesting for myself and my audience.  My products consist mostly of original art and prints, and I've recently added custom, high-quality tote bags to my inventory which can ship worldwide.

Rachel Mambach Art LLC was launched one year ago and has been a great success so far!  As time goes on, I continue to learn and strive to make each year better.  I've discovered that children are most interested in my art - maybe because I am an art teacher or because my creations are colorful.  I've also learned that handmade markets are the best place for me to sell my art.  Marketspace Vendor Events produces handmade markets that are perfect for me to capture my target audience.  Being a Jersey Shore local, I’m excited for my first market with Marketspace on July 21, 2018 at Porta in Asbury Park!  To see my artwork for yourself, find me there in person, visit my website, or follow me on social media.

Hello, my name is Linn and I am the owner of LYL Apparel, a New Jersey based clothing designer. What sparked me to start a business was my passion for clothing and creating unique and motivational apparel. In addition, I became part of a group called Phenomenal Women Empowerment Alliance. With the love and support of these women who I call my sisters, I was able to start my business.

I started my business making T-shirts. I would create T-shirts with motivational sayings and it was immediately a hit. Currently, I have added embellished denim pants, hats and jackets to my shop. My favorite items are the hats and I love to glam them up with pearls and rhinestones. Each one is stitched by hand.  My best sellers are my shirt.  However, when you see these hats, you will love, love, love them!

I plan on rebranding my business soon and possibly starting my own website. You can see some of my designs on Instagram. Please don't forget to follow me to see my new items! In addition, I will be vending at the Pop-up Market at Fort Dix and hope to participate in other vendor events offered through Marketspace Vendor Events. I hope to see you soon!
