Carrie Engerrand - Daily Scentuals

Daily Scentuals has become a lifestyle more than a business for me.  I got started making oil blends to combat my anxiety and begun experimenting with blends for other ailments.  I just want to help my customers be healthy and happy.

I love problem solving for people.  Whether that is modifying recipes to fit their needs or experimenting to find a joint pain oil to help my mother’s hands, I find that between researching new combinations or oils and creating them I have the ultimate way to satisfy my need to help.  One of my friends asked for lotions, so now I am creating a line of lotions!

I eventually want to take this business full time and create a wellness center.  That would include reiki healing, yoga, and oils.  I want to continue to solve issues that people have and really build a business that helps the local community. I vended with Marketspace Vendor Events on December 2017 at 'The Marketspace at Westfield' and am excited to attend more events. I will be at the The Exchange at Fort Dix on February 10, 2018.

Karen Bellitto - Shinyhappydangles

Chainmaille. The stuff of knights and legends. King Arthur and dragons. Frodo and Jon Snow. You get the idea. My name is Karen and I weave with metal. In a previous life, I was a medical social worker in New York and worked primarily with terminal cancer patients and their families. A heavy job but a rewarding one. Fast forward to moving to New Jersey and getting pregnant all around the same time! Stay at home mom-dom allowed me to find time to get my inner craft girl on. After manifesting in different mediums one day I learned how to make a byzantine bracelet. Angels began to sing, the sun peered out of the clouds and I knew I found what I wanted to do. I researched, I learned a lot about the history of chainmaille and now I bring that to you in the form of wearable art.

Centuries ago, men would wear mesh garments, woven of steel rings, to protect themselves when going off to battle. Today, Shinyhappydangles, takes these patterns and techniques (we are talking legit OLD patterns, like 1270 Japan or Europe in the Middle Ages) to replicate patterns and turn them into jewelry. There are maille artisans who still make actual suits of armor (30,000 plus rings can go in to just 1 shirt!). What I have come to love about this art form is the endless possibilities. Little circles (aluminum jump rings) come in many colors and wire gauges and sizes so the amount of things you can make and do seems to be infinite. I’m up for the challenge.

I know one thing is for sure: I miss my pliers when I’m not making stuff and I wake up in the
morning thinking about what I’m going to create that day. I love seeing the look on someone’s
face when I explain that, yes, I did open and close every single ring to make the pattern they are looking at and I enjoyed every minute of it. I love being in stores and hearing from my customers that they saw my pieces at a local boutique. What REALLY makes my day though is in-person shows where I can live-weave at my table and converse with customers as they come into the booth. I’m excited about adding dates with Marketspace Vendor Events to my calendar this year! Shinyhappydangles. A little history. A little bling. Love in every link.

Kimberlee Roccasanta - KPR-Creations

HELLO, My name is Kimberlee and I recently started my jewelry line.  My love for jewelry started at a young age as I loved to play “dress up”.  One of the greatest and most influential people in my life was my grandmother, who also had a love for jewelry.

Handmade New Jersey jewelry, KPR-Creations, is my way of paying tribute to my beautiful grandmother. Inspired by her flair for matching her jewelry to her outfits, I create unique jewelry pieces that bring out the sparkle in any outfit. Whether you desire subtle hues or bold colors, each bracelet is lovingly handcrafted to draw attention to your inner beauty. Inspiring women to glow from the inside out, KPR- Creations is designed to help you shine.

I am excited and honored to be a part of Marketspace Vendor Events.  I am looking forward to upcoming events in the near future. My first one will be in May’s Landing on June 16th, 2018 at Balic Winery. I am looking forward to meeting you all there. There will be a variety of Beaded Bracelets ready to go. Happy shopping and remember “JEWELRY ALWAYS FITS”!

Carly Surmonte - Car Chet Healing

Hi! I am Carly Surmonte, also known as Car Chet Healing.  Car Chet Healing is what I refer to my holistic health and reiki practice while Car Chet Healing Designs is dedicated to my crystal jewelry sales.  I have my Masters Degree in Holistic Health studies and I am passionate about energy medicine and vibrational healing.  For the past couple of months I have been doing online sales.  I am excited to start getting out and meeting people in person.

The goal of my small business is to help educate the public on chakra systems.  I sell crystal pendants because I feel that they are an excellent self-care tool that can be used anywhere.   Anyone can benefit from incorporating crystals into their lifestyle, which is why I began making them easily accessible and affordable on either a keychain or on a necklace.  My website and social media presence is dedicated to providing education and raising awareness on how crystal healing can be used as a self-care practice

Car Chet Healing Designs sells a wide variety of crystal pendants and chakra related t-shirts.  Each crystal was specially chosen with certain chakras in mind.  The best sellers are Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Lapis Lazuli, and Opal.  It is pretty much 50/50 on whether people like them on the keychain or necklace.  I am excited to announce that I will be adding four new crystals as well as earrings to the mix for the upcoming vendor events!

Shopping with Car Chet Healing Designs is special for every customer.  I encourage each customer to learn about the different crystals and feel which resonate closely with them.  Customers then choose their crystal, whether they would like it on a keychain or necklace, and finally a colorful tassel to attach.  Each purchase comes with a small bag for safekeeping.  Everyone who shops here has an opportunity to be part of creating something unique that they can either keep for themselves or gift to another.

I hope to continue working with Marketspace Vendor Events in the future.  As an energy practitioner who is sensitive to vibes, I have had nothing but great feelings since working with the Marketspace Vendor Events Team!  I cannot wait for the Namaste for the Holidays event as well as The Marketspace at Westfield weekends that Marketspace Event Vendors is hosting coming up.  I will be vending on December 7 at AMP Yoga Studio as well as Sunday December 10 at the Marketspace at Westfield.  Come say hi!

Rachel Helfand - CraftyCatPA

Hi! I’m Rachel; a Jersey girl living in Pennsylvania, often found surrounded by cats, crafting aromatherapy jewelry – hence CraftyCatPA! Everyone sometimes needs an escape from the hustle and bustle… to slow down and just create on your own terms. CraftyCatPA came into being as a creative outlet, a hobby for myself, separate from all the things on the ‘to do list’. I enjoy creating unique aromatherapy jewelry designs and sharing the benefits of essential oils; can’t wait to meet you!

I create an eclectic variety of beaded bracelets, anklets, rings and necklaces. Most of my designs feature lava beads to pair with essential oils for aromatherapy on the go. I’m a Young Living distributor and always have my personal collection of Young Living essential oils with me to share. The CraftyCatPA collection is forever changing and evolving – most styles are one of a kind. I love to make custom, made-to-order pieces with feedback and involvement from the customer.

I’m working on some standard styles for the CraftyCatPA Etsy shop; but I’m most excited to get out to Marketspace Vendor Events where customer can see, smell, touch and try on the CraftyCatPA collection in person as it’s meant to be experienced! In addition to aromatherapy jewelry, I’m branching into essential oil roll-ons and sugar scrubs. I’m so looking forward to Merry Marketspace, my first event with Marketspace Vendor Events, and the fun opportunities to follow!

Cassie Parker - CassandieCrafts

Welcome! My name is Cassie Parker, I am the muscles and brains behind CassandieCrafts! We are a new handmade jewelry shop that has an eye for unique accessories. All of our merchandise has had a past life; they were once stored in a pretty box, covered in dust, or in your grandparents’ basement, patiently waiting to be nestled up next to your holiday meal. If you haven't got a clue where I am going with this... we're making wearable, vintage flatware accessories: actual silverware shaped into unique designs. You'll never look at spoons the same way again!

We all know how much a stay-at-home mom can be inspired through Pinterest; anything seems possible when you "double-tap" to save a future craft!  My story begins on a day back in September, where I found stray pieces of tarnished silverware in my grandmothers’ china cabinet. My brain started racing and I knew I couldn't let them sit, I had to wash them up to shine! The details were beautiful, the strength of silver plated pieces is just remarkable… These little pieces of history were made to survive decades! I just had to recreate, repurpose, and bring these guys back to life. I was on a mission: flattening spoons on my cast iron skillet and carving into their silver-plated metal, all while juggling my two kids! My vision successfully came to life, a "Pinterest-win" if you will. My first bangle style will always be my favorite. I created the "sea tail" bangle, which will make a beautifully inspired gift for any Jersey native. Here in New Jersey, we're all mermaids washed ashore, and these cuff style bracelets emulate our coastal niche. They come in a variety of sizes and strengths to be adjusted perfectly on any wrist. Through custom orders, I have created whale, dolphin, and mermaid tails showcasing anyone's specific love of the sea. This fun little activity found via Pinterest has sparked some serious sale inquiries and, here I am today showcasing new designs with my medium being variety of forgotten flatware. The bracelets sold quickly to friends and family, then I flattened a fork... and wait until you see what I've done with them!

I am over the moon excited to have found Marketspace Vendors. It's even more exciting to debut with them locally this November. It really is a blessing to have found the opportunity to be a part of a group that encourages networking with other unique artists. My drive is channeled towards everyone's appreciation for eccentric style, especially the locals! Shaping flatware is not an uncommon craft, but what is uncommon, is the shapes and expressions able to image and create. Come find me at the CassandieCrafts table, and discover my way of giving antique silverware a whole new life.

Marissa Rizzuto - The FashIN

My name is Marissa and my two loves are fashion and animal rescue.  After being a fashion stylist for several years and starting over after a divorce, I wanted to put my energy and experience into starting a business.  Being a bargain shopper myself, I came up with the idea of The FashIN, traveling designer outlet.

As women we all love bargain shopping and sample sales, but sometimes going to outlet malls or sample sales is just a pain.  Not only do we vendor at events, but women can get together at a friend’s house and shop privately!  We also partner with charities and other businesses.

Best of all, our prices are extremely competitive!  I search every product we curate and make sure it’s the lowest price.  Our items are brand new and authentic.  We carry sunglasses, jewelry and handbags from high-end designers like Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Prada, Gucci and more.  Some of our items are currently sold full price or close to it, so we usually only get one of everything we carry.

We donate a portion of our proceeds to animal rescues and shelters!  That’s where my love of animals is intertwined with my love of fashion.  Rescue Animals Fashionably! We have some ideas for the future of The FashIN!  We are so excited to partner with Marketspace Vendor Events!

October 29th - Crafts and Drafts Pop-Up Craft Market at River Horse Brewing Company

Image-1 (1).jpg

This Sunday we will host our second event by the 'Crafts and Drafts' name, a craft market of talented artists and makers at River Horse Brewing Company in Ewing, NJ. This warehouse takeover will be our largest event yet, both in the number of vendors we are bringing together and in the 43.9K (and counting) social media reach. There will be 40+ craft vendors to shop during the day (with a beer in hand of course).

But that's not all... we will also be fueled by Taste of Poland's delicious kielbasa and beer sausage skewers, The Good Donut Shop's miniature donuts served warm with toppings to match the brewery's tappings, AND Koneheads Ice Cream, a local Ewing business that delivers novelty ice cream with blast from the past flavors- Fruity Pebbles, anyone?

The pairing of draft beer and craft goods has always made sense to us. And lucky for us, it make sense to the brewery owners and craft vendors we meet. Here is a preview of what Marketspace's Craft and Draft at River Horse Brewing Company has on deck. We will see you there!

Christina Borchert - New Pride Designs LLC

Hi, my name is Chrissy and I am the CEO and Head Artisan at New Pride Designs LLC.  I started making jewelry when I was debilitated from a severe back injury.  I was stuck in bed and couldn’t do anything.  However, I soon figured out I could make jewelry while I was disabled.  During that time, I realized I had a niche that I loved: LGBT jewelry.  After 3 surgeries, I could finally do more activities and that is when I started doing vendor events.

We hand-make rainbow jewelry, candles, lanterns, blankets, and some other items coming soon are tee shirts and soap.  Everything we make is Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender themed.  We also do custom colors for other sexualities and genders upon request.

You can find me and my display at the Pop-Up Craft Market at Woodbridge Center on Saturday, October 14th. This is the first time we are working with Marketspace Vendor Events.  We hope this is the beginning of a long positive relationship with them.

October 14th - Pop-Up Market at Woodbridge Center

In ten days we will debut our very own Pop-Up Market in Center Court and the Sears Wing of New Jersey's second largest shopping mall, Woodbridge Center. When Marketspace Vendor Events was originally conceived, one of the first big ideas was to host a craft artisan and small business market inside of an enticing, high-traffic space where business owners could get the recognition they deserve, but perhaps did not have the means to secure on their own. We knew we wanted to help the "little guys" and a few short months later, this concept is now a reality for 30 of our in-network vendors.

We intend on making the mall Pop-Up Market a staple in the event calendar of Marketspace Vendor Events so that we can extend the opportunity to our wide variety of vendors.

Our showcase consists of local treasures from craft artisans and small business owners alike. Indulge in the full sensory shopping experience and leave with a few memorable treats. Here is a preview of what Marketspace's Woodbridge Center Pop-Up Market has to offer. We hope to see you there!
