Jay Macry - Westfield Woodshop

The Westfield Woodshop began as a hobby for me – many years ago, my wife bought me a wood-turning lathe on a whim and explained “I think you will be good at this”! It took some time and a lot of practice, but soon I was creating hand-turned wood pieces for friends and family on a regular basis. I love the feeling of creating something that people really enjoy and cherish and say, “How did you do that?!?”

Some of the most satisfying projects the shop produces come when preserving part of a fallen or special tree for sentimental reasons so that the recipients have something “to remember them by” forever. I also love re-purposing old furniture, floorboards and other items for the same reason. A broken table leg from your great Aunt's dining room can become an heirloom pen or other keepsake!

I hope to keep creating custom pieces for friends and family and I’m really happy to be partnering with Marketspace Vendor Events now and in the future. I see plenty of potential in their concepts and marketing to help me grow my product’s reach.
