Mission

Marketspace Vendor Events curate and promote craft shows in a way that ties together the arts, history, and culture of New Jersey.

About Us

“Kim and Kevin motivate each other to deliver a service that is so needed by the maker community. They are transparent and friendly in all that they do.”

Kim and Kevin are advocates for small business and the arts, and would not have the unique perspective they do had it not been for their Etsy shop, Cozy Gray House.

Kim has always had an affinity for design and DIY projects. Kevin saw himself owning an Etsy shop one day, but couldn’t pin point his product or talent. Together, they set out on a DIY growth chart project to commemorate their twins’ growth milestones in a style that matched their combined eclectic decorating style. The prototype was a success!

Friends and family showed support for their hand-crafted growth chart and soon the orders flooded in. After realizing they had a market, Kevin encouraged Kim to open an Etsy shop in early 2014. By Christmas, they had racked up orders and had shipped their hand-painted growth charts as far as Oregon.

With a handle on the Etsy shop, they looked to grow the business by selling their product at in-person New Jersey craft markets. They quickly recognized that the best interest of the maker was lost at most markets. There was an immediate need to build a platform for craftspeople to gain brand awareness, promote their products, and sell; one that did so as cost-effectively as it could while maintaining the distinction of high quality.

Kim and Kevin knew they had to shift focus from makers to craft show promoters. Marketspace Vendor Events was built in just a few short weeks and has continued to evolve with the ever-changing landscape of small business retail. To this day, Kim and Kevin are still amazed that a labor of love turned into a business - but that is the best type of business to be in!
