Hello, my name is Dotty and I am the creator behind Decota Designs. I grew up surrounded by vintage items and learned to sew at a young age. Many years ago, I owned a dress made from vintage tablecloths. With time, it became tattered so I decided to put my sewing skills and passion for vintage to great use! After completing the process with my own hands, I decided to turn my hobby into a business. I began up-cycling vintage textiles as beautiful, wearable and decorative gifts.

I create dresses for adults and children, skirts, tote bags, produce bags and more. I most enjoy making adult dresses and have kept a number of them to wear all summer long. They are so versatile and always receive compliments!

Everything I make was once something else. I believe in re-purposing and up-cycling fabrics to give them a new life. My products have lived past lives as tablecloths, curtains. sheets, and doilies to name a few. I am thrilled to be vending at the Red Mill in Clinton, NJ for their annual Red Mill Retro Ride event and am excitedly looking forward to other upcoming shows with Marketspace Vendor Events.

DeCota Designs will be at this upcoming event!

Konichiwa! My name is Saya, and I am the creator of Obagami Origami House. I was born and raised on a small island paradise located in the warm, southern waters of Japan. From a young age I learned to respect the beauty of nature. Our island is filled with lush forests and beautiful ocean. I grew up in a very traditional Japanese home centered around art, music and dance. My grandmother and I spent many afternoons practicing the traditional art of paper folding, origami.

At Obagami I create jewelry and art from the simple origami forms I learned as a child. I decided to bring this Japanese tradition to America by way of a unique art form.

Through my work, I hope to forge a blend of eastern tradition with a western decorative appeal. While the folding techniques I use are traditional, I choose color schemes, layouts and materials best suited to my art. All of my materials are carefully selected for color and quality. I constantly strive to create new designs and patterns, and have produced many custom pieces. And of course, all works are handcrafted by me. You can select your favorite origami gift from wearable origami (jewelry), kusudama (dreamcatcher) and framed wall art.

Obagami is a new endeavor. Watch us grow with a constantly evolving product presentation and an expanding online presence. I attended The Marketspace at Westfield in 2018 through Marketspace Vendor Events and am excited to be participating in Maifest 2019 in Hackettstown, NJ. I hope to see you soon at one of our upcoming events!
