Bush Medic Brews - Mattia & Clark Bush

What better way to fuel your business than with a love of craft beer?  Bush Medic Brews all-natural beer grain dog treats are handmade in Norristown, Pennsylvania; the no-waste solution to spent grain from home brewing.

Once Clark started home brewing, I decided to make dog treats from the spent grain for our dogs, Brownie and Scooter.  After realizing how much our dogs loved them, we gave a few to family and friends.  The pup seal of approval continued!  Our friends and family encouraged us to package and sell our handmade dog treats.  Thus, Bush Medic Brews was born.  If you’re wondering how “Medic” fits into our name, Clark is a paramedic.  Pretty cool, huh?

Our top selling dog treat is peanut butter.  We also offer peanut butter-pumpkin and peanut butter-blueberry combinations, all of which are delicious!

Our goal is to market and sell our product to local pet stores.  In the meantime, we enjoy establishing a customer base through local handmade markets in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  These events give us the opportunity to meet fellow beer and dog lovers face-to-face. We are excited to work with Marketspace Vendor Events in 2019 since many of their events are beer-focused or at breweries.  They are the perfect opportunity for us!

Pedal Pusher Press - Jenn Consoli

My name is Jenn. I’m a stationery and paper obsessed artist and illustrator. I always had a vision of becoming a fine artist who exhibited in galleries, but quickly realized that my real passion was in designing fun, sometimes silly, illustrations. These original illustrations would often be of myself, food, things I thought were funny, and things I loved. What originally started as a fun way to express myself outside of my day job, these illustrations became the beginning pieces for my original card designs. In the winter of 2017 I launched the Pedal Pusher Press website and this little stationery biz has been growing ever since.

All of the Pedal Pusher Press collection is designed by myself from my original illustrations, including pen drawings and watercolors. The Pedal Pusher Press collection currently offers various greeting cards, art prints, mugs, stickers, and custom prints and greeting cards. One of the most popular items I make are the New Jersey cards and prints. I’ve grown up in Jersey and always loved how different certain towns and shore points were. I always felt like many of these places felt like “home” to me. This resonates with a lot of our customers because many of them know that same feeling of loving their “home” place, whether it’s down the shore or in their favorite downtown area. Making these unique maps for each of my customers is really special and I enjoy hearing their stories and why they love the places they do.

In 2019, I’m very excited to begin partnering with some small businesses, selling in shops and boutiques. I’ll be launching more fun card designs throughout the year, as well. I’m also really looking forward to upcoming Marketspace Vendor Events, like Shop the Shore at Porta in Asbury Park.

Pedal Pusher Press will be at these upcoming events!

HANDMADE Macrame and Knit Products - Adonica Cabreja

Artisan:  HANDMADE Macrame and Knit Products
E-mail: handmadeinjc@gmail.com

Hi! I’m Adonica Cabreja with North Jersey-based HANDMADE Macrame and Knit Products, or as we say HANDMADE. I’ve always loved crafts, but it was really my husband who started me on this amazing journey. When I learned that he liked knit ties my first instinct was to surprise him with one that I had made. Friends of his liked it and asked for their own. Once word got around that I knit, things blossomed. Even our macrame started that way. He wanted a big wall piece, so I did some research. It seemed easy enough -so I made him one! A coworker of his saw it and wanted one too. Soon I was doing something that I had never thought of doing!

Macrame is something that’s pretty much always in stock, but custom pieces can be made too. Everything is locally sourced, including the driftwood I use, which comes from the bay behind my house. I clean it up and repurpose it, matching the macrame or knit piece to the wood. Knit Products are hard to keep stocked due to demand, but it allows me to create custom products. I’ll even try doing things that aren’t knit or macrame. As long as my customers are willing to be patient when it comes to creating something that’s new for me to do, I’m willing to give any creation a shot. A big HANDMADE seller are the hand-knit blankets. They’re big and bulky -but BOY are they warm and perfect for our winter weather! As for my favorite thing to make, it has to be the feather macrame pieces. It might be a little more time consuming and tedious, but they come out so beautiful when they’re finished. I can be hard on myself when it comes to my work, but these are pieces that I can just enjoy.

While there’s still room for growth, I’d like to keep HANDMADE a small business. I want to make sure that I keep the passion I have for my craft and the happiness that it brings me. I don’t want to get caught up in the growth of the business so that I lose my passion and the quality suffers. This venture helps me be a stay-at-home-mom, which I love. Given my workload as a mom, artisan, and small business owner, I find it hard at times to know when events are taking place. Marketspace Vendor Events helps me to easily find events that I can be a part of and with plenty of notice. Their events calendar and advanced emails for those of us in their network help me better prepare, stock, and plan my schedule. I look forward to participating in new events this year and meeting wonderful new people!

New Jersey Artisan Agave Artworks - Judy Okun

My love of the outdoors has inspired my alcohol ink artwork on ceramic and glass. I have been painting, drawing and teaching art for years. Trained as a watercolorist, I began using an incredible medium, alcohol ink, several years ago and love the result. The ink works best on non-porous surfaces and brings out vibrancy, dimensionality and luminosity in my paintings.

Agave Artworks has been exhibited throughout New Jersey at the venues including Voorhees Art Center, the Mullica Hill Art Center, and the Center for the Arts in Southern New Jersey (Marlton). I’m thrilled to have 50 paintings on display in the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill through December.  I’m a Cherry Hill resident and am excited to bring my artwork northward to The 2nd Annual Marketspace at Westfield this holiday season! Stop by to see hand-painted porcelain ornaments and framed paintings from mini size to 8x8---perfect for holiday décor and gift-giving. Hope to see you on December 15th!

Agave Artworks will be at this upcoming event!

Kaitlyn Lazzaro - Kaitlyn’s Knit Knacks

Hey All, I’m Kaitlyn, of Kaitlyn’s Knit Knacks! I started this handmade adventure back in high school when I took a fashion class. Yes, that was a real class in my high school. I remember the teacher taught us the basics, knit and purl, and then she rolled out the television (every high schoolers' favorite moment in school) and put on Project Runway. We literally watched TV and made a scarf for about a week. It was awesome! Then fast forward to post-college, imagine a broke new graduate needing to buy her friends and family Christmas Gifts on an entry level salary. I got the brilliant idea to pick up knitting again, and then I just couldn’t stop... so here I am now 5 years later with an Etsy Shop and getting into Craft and Vendor shows.

I make handmade knit items, particularly chunky knit hats, and cowls to keep you warm all winter. I also offer baby items, such as newborn caps, bows, booties, and household items like washcloths. There is definitely a huge variety that you can find on my shop, but my personal favorites not only to make, but also to wear, are my seed stitch beanies. The beauty of my Etsy shop is that most items are made to order, so any item can be customized in size, and color. If you love a headband and want a matching one with your child just send me a message and we can work together to get the perfect color and size for both you and your little one.

This is my first year participating in Craft and Vendor shows, so it has definitely been an adventure! My hope for the future is to continue growing my business on Etsy, through Craft shows, and even local brick and mortar shops. I am currently partnering with All Things Local in Red Bank, NJ and hope to expand from there. Although I have been to a few Crafts and Drafts events, I am excited to be participating in my first event with Marketspace Vendor Events and hope to continue working with them in future!

Dawn Van Brunt - Jersey Girl Graphix

Hello! I can't wait to meet everyone! I am Dawn from Jersey Girl Graphix. I reside in Howell with my husband and two teenage boys that are the loves of my life. Now that the boys are older I have been able to devote some of my mom time to creating time! I love decorating and crafting and over the past 20 years have often made gifts for friends and family. The items I have gifted have been such a hit that many suggested I sell them, well, here we are!! I sell mostly via word of mouth, Facebook and Etsy, but am jumping into the world of events with both feet. I do enjoy my small little micro corner of the internet, but do love the live human interaction as well. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment seeing my creations in my clients’ homes. Making some money doing something I love is just a bonus!

My signature item is my Scrabble tile wall art. Many are created using the family names. Each 5”x5” tile is hand distressed and stained and features a black letter with the letter score, just like in the game! These make amazing gifts and such a eye catching statement on a wall. Every item I create is unique and no two will ever be alike. Many of my art pieces are recycled wood, hand distressed and lettered making each special. I can personalize just about anything and love custom orders! I do offer some neutral items and seasonal décor at shows for those that like instant gratification, but pride myself on also being able to create a special personalized piece with your input!

I also make awesome sparkly tumblers that make great teacher gifts for the holidays.  They are always a great hit and a super value to make someone smile! I am super thrilled to partner with Marketspace Vendor Events, especially at Crafts and Drafts at Beach Haus Brewery on November 11th. I look forward to making your shopping experience a unique one. Tell your friends, bring your neighbors! Please take a look at my Facebook page and if you see something you like let me know! The photos above are a tiny peek into what I make. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.
